This week marks the seventh and final Winter Share pick up of the 2025 season (even though it is now 2026 ;) Which means that it is also time for our Annual Bulk Sale, too!! It's been a wonderful Winter season in so many ways, so it is nice to cap it off with a big final share and bulk sale to fill up your fridge and pantry. Winter Share #6 of 7- 1/6+1/8 Happy New Year!
Back at it this week after a much needed break full of rest, friends, family, and food! We've been loving these really cold (more like average) temperatures this Winter compared to the past 4 Winters. The colder weather helps control bugs, plant pathogens, and severe storms. We really like when the weather is cold so we do not get those HUGE snow storms. But the cold weather also makes farming in the Winter more difficult. So there is a trade off. Winter Share #5 of 7- 12/16+12/18: Happy Holidays!!
This week is our 5th Winter Share of 7. Though it will be the last vegetable distribution of the calendar year, it is not the last one of the farm year! We also have two more pick ups in January. The difference is we are taking two weeks off for all the holidays before we'll see everyone again in 2026! Another "Off" Week from the Winter Share
This week is another down week for the Winter Share. As we have moved to every other week distribution for the cold season. And COLD it is! I'm glad we aren't having share pick up while these frigid temperatures move through. This past week was quite a busy one preparing for a low of 8 degrees :0 We've harvested everything from the big fields as mentioned.
