Winter Share #3 of 7: 11/18+11/20-
Yes!!!! We looooooove this time of year! The leaves are mostly on the ground and the morning sun brings the best light of the whole year! We are still harvesting veggies from the big fields, even after that cold plunge. We prepped as much as we could the previous week knowing that we would be in for some cold temps and snow. And it looks like all our hard work paid off as much of the crops did just fine out in the weather. Of course it helped that the ground temperature was s

Week of November 10th- An 'Off" Week
There is no Winter Share pick up this coming week as we transition to every-other-week pick ups for the cold season. This week marks the first real deep freeze of the Fall. We have prepared and harvested a ton of veggies because this freeze could be the end of the outdoor farming season. We will see how cold/snowy/bad it is once we are on the other side! Winter Share #1 of 7: 10/28+10/30- Spooky Cold
Wowee! It's the last week of October and our first real freeze just happened. This means anything that can't handle being frozen just perished if it was outside last night. This includes crops, weeds, and bugs. Good thing all the crops we have out it the field are frost/freeze champs and can handle it! They even get sweeter after they are frosted a few times (we call natural sugars nature's antifreeze because the plants create more sugar to withstand the elements). Anyway, th

Summer Share #20 of 20: 10/21+10/23- The FINAL Share of 2025
Yikes! We've been busy...so busy I've not been able to write a blog in a while. Sorry about that, but this is our final Summer Share pick up week :) Don't forget to bring renewal forms with you to your final pick up so we can say "See you next Summer!" We are busy around here trying to get bulk harvests done before the first (dare I say it) snow. We have gotten all the beets, and potatoes out of the ground, but we still have the massive carrot harvest, plus all the other smal
