Summer Share #2 of 20- 6/16+6/18- Getting Close to Summer!
I always try to point out when the seasons actually change. It is important to remember that even in a hot stretch the last frost we had was May 11th...about a month ago. So Summer crops that can't handle frost and need a minimum of 60 days to mature are at least 2 months out from May 11th. So even though it's warm now the tomatoes are only starting to make tiny green tomatoes, and the melons and eggplant aren't even flowering yet to then eventually make fruit! The official f

Summer Share #1 of 20: The Summer Share is Starting!
The Summer Share is finally starting! Woohoo!! It's really what alllllll the planning we do is for. We've emailed all our 2026 members reminder emails about the share. Look in your inboxes or even spam folders! As for us we are nearing the end of 'Planting Season', which is a really big push to get all our long season crops into the ground before it is literally too late. But finally the greenhouses are looking pretty empty and now it's time for actually caring for the crops

The First Week of June
The farm is taking this week to catch up on/keep up with the farm planting schedule. This time of year is pivotal to farms in our climate and we are trying to make sure our crops are on schedule and help them along as much as possible. Memorial Day Weekend- No Share Distribution
I can't believe it is Memorial Day weekend already! This Spring has been bonkers, and now we have Memorial Day on the earliest day it can be. At this point we are just rolling with it all. That being said, we've also reached Planting Season. Which means us farmers will take the next few weeks off from distributing vegetable shares in order to 'Plant like crazy' so-to-speak.
