Summer Share Week 19 of 20: 10/13+10/15- Second to Last
This week marks the second-to-last share pick up of the 2026 Summer Season and we are feeling a little sad and a little happy about it. Sad that yet again another great season is behind us and the days are noticeably shorter. Happy for all the successes and for the bulk of the work to be done.
That being said, if you are a current Summer Share member please make sure to renew your share in the next 2 weeks if you are planning on doing so!! There are instructions in the email we sent everybody, but if you don't feel like reading that you can just grab a renewal form at the farm and pay with cash or check!
We have entered the heavy harvest time of year when all the root veggies and storage crops start coming in from the fields. Potatoes are almost done, we have our final 2 storage varieties to get out of the ground yet. We harvested the sweet potatoes already, but all the carrots, beets, parsnips, cabbages, radishes, rutabega, etc, etc are all gonna be brought in by mid November! We have to make sure to beat the first heavy snow that stays!
As for this week the share will include- potatoes, squashes, cauliflower, cabbages, beets, carrots, salad radishes and turnips, hot peppers, eggplant, fennel, radicchio, bunched greens like tot soi, arugula, and mustards!, napa cabbage, celery, head lettuce, and garlic!
The Fruit Share will include apples, asian pears, and peaches!
Savage Wheat will be here again and so will Three Sisters!
