Summer Share #17 of 20- 9/29+10/1: Fall Temps

Wowee! Fall arrived right on time ;) We are welcoming some cooler temperatures, but not really ready to turn the heat on in the house just yet. As people start setting into a new-ish routine this time of year, we start thinking about next year! So we will be doing Share renewals for current members starting next week (the week of the 5th). We will send emails to all current members over the coming weekend.

As for us things are still very busy! There is a cut off for putting things in the ground...around October 15th...that nothing will be harvest-able this year if you get it in the ground after that date. I'm talking about cover crop seeding, as well as planting and seeding in the growing tunnels by the barn. So we are racing to get anything that can't handle a frost out, while getting the last of the cover-cropping/seedlings in! Our typical first frost date is around October 10th. We'll see where it falls this season.

This week's share will include- potatoes, squashes, cucumbers, zucchini, onions, cabbage!! (so much cabbage), kohlrabi, radishes, bok choy, eggplant, beets, carrots, spinach, salad turnips, kale, brussels sprouts crowns, tomatoes, and celery!

The Fruit share will include seedless grapes, peaches, apples, and pears!
