Spring Share week #3 of 4: 5/12+5/14- Soggy
Entering Mother's Day weekend and we have yet to really dry out with all this rain. It can be demoralizing this time of year when we are full of energy and optimism! But as I warned in last week's blog, we are now starting to fall behind in our field schedule due to the soggy Spring we have been having. Spring Share #2 of 4- April Showers
Hopefully we are past the worst of the rain! We've made it to May, so we are looking forward to more sun filled days! We aren't getting behind by all this rain yet. But if it continues with all this rain we will be behind after this week. The fields that our onions rotate through have standing water in them :( I think we are somewhere around 300% more precipitation than average since the beginning of the year. Spring Share #1 of 4: 4/28+4/30 Just Go!
The Spring Share is starting this week! Sooooo very exciting to be harvesting large amounts of food again. This Spring season has proven to be quite odd. I've been joking that there are no more sunny 50 degree days anymore. It's either dreary and below 40 (or even below freezing), or sunny and above 60.
