Winter Share #5 of 7: 12/17+12/19 Burrrrr

What a dramatic change in the weather. We largely missed the snowstorm at the farm, but no one will be able to avoid these frigid temperatures! Good thing they will climb back up in time for our next Winter Share distribution. Believe it or not the coolers are still chock full of fresh veggies because we had to harvest a bunch of things before this shockingly cold weather. We still have kale out in the big filed protected by an electric fence, but it will have to handle the 12 degree low tomorrow on it's own. We'll see how it does. We also have extra 'blankets' on the tunnel vegetables.

This week of the Winter Share marks the 5th of 7 shares. We will take an extra long break between distributions to make way for a lot of merriment and celebration for the holidays!

This week's share will include potatoes, sweet potatoes, squashes, carrots, parsnips, cabbage, rutabega, celery root, onions, fennel, radicchio, bok choy, kale crowns, and lettuce!
