Here we are at the third Winter Share, which is also the last November pick up. So anyone who is used to a smaller share, and feels overwhelmed by your veggies right now, fear not. Thanksgiving will come and go and you will be left wondering where all the veggies went, too!
Here at the farm we are focusing on getting all the crops out of the ground before the week of Thanksgiving. Though it has been a very warm November (scary!), we could easily get snow and a week of plummeting temperatures so it's best to plan ahead.
For anyone out there wondering about what to serve or bring for Thanksgiving, don't forget about our annual Thanksgiving Market at the Farm! It will take place on Tuesday the 21st from 2:00 to 5:00 pm **Cash Or Check Only Please** We set up the share room like a farmers market with anything vegetable you might need for your table or your pantry. Bittner-Singer Orchard apples and Savage Wheat will be there, too! Just add turkey ;)
As for the third Winter Share pick up this week we will have potatoes, sweet potatoes, butternut and other squashes, carrots, parsnips, celery, beets, turnips, radishes, bunched greens, kale, cabbage, lettuce, and apples (apples are from Bittner-Singer)
