Winter Share #1 of 7: 10/28+10/30- Spooky Cold

Wowee! It's the last week of October and our first real freeze just happened. This means anything that can't handle being frozen just perished if it was outside last night. This includes crops, weeds, and bugs. Good thing all the crops we have out it the field are frost/freeze champs and can handle it! They even get sweeter after they are frosted a few times (we call natural sugars nature's antifreeze because the plants create more sugar to withstand the elements).

Anyway, this week is the first of seven Winter Share distributions and everyone who has signed up for a Winter Share should have received emails with details about picking up and future share dates. If you have not yet paid for your share please make sure to bring your payment with you to your first pick up day ;) **ALSO, share pick up times are from 3:00 to 6:00, which is different than the Summer share. Please take note.

This week's Winter Share will include potatoes, sweet potatoes, carrots, beets, cauliflower, broccoli, kohlrabi, cabbage, salad radishes and turnips, kale, bunched greens, onions, lettuce, spinach, garlic and a tomato!
