Summer Share #1 of 20: 6/10+6/12- The First of Many

Woohoo! The Summer CSA Share Season is finally starting! We are finally harvesting from the big fields (as opposed to the tunnels), and the sun may finally be out, too! It's wonderful that it is all coming together at once. Well, mostly ;)

When you come to pick up your first share you may notice some changes to the barn's Share Room. We outgrew the first cooler we built when we first came to this land in 2013 (some of you might remember we spent our first 2 years at a different location). We've built 2 other coolers since then, but now we finally built a big cooler to accommodate all the Summer Share produce! This meant some more involved construction to the room that isn't finished yet (our schedule revolved around when the cooler company could come out and install the cooling unit, and we didn't want to tear down the old cooler until the new one was running!).

So, the 'new' share room is not quite finished, but it will mostly look the same. We've sent out reminder emails to everyone in the Summer Share with all the info you need to grab your first vegetable share of the Summer Season. Bring your payment if you have one, and your questions with you! We'll see everyone either Tuesday the 10th from 2 to 630, or Thursday the 12th from 2 to 630. Emily from The Savage Wheat Project will be here again, too!

The first week's share will include salad radishes and turnips, fennel, bunched greens, spinach, head lettuce, bok choy, and herbs. It's still Spring and those greens are what's good rn ;)
