Spring Share #2 of 4- April Showers

Hopefully we are past the worst of the rain! We've made it to May, so we are looking forward to more sun filled days! We aren't getting behind by all this rain yet. But if it continues with all this rain we will be behind after this week. The fields that our onions rotate through have standing water in them :( I think we are somewhere around 300% more precipitation than average since the beginning of the year.

The Spring crops are doing just fine because we grow most of them in the growing tunnels on the farm. We have a little over a quarter acre under cover! But we are waiting for the big push of the season to actually get going!!

This week's Spring Share will include radishes, scallions, bunched greens, herbs, pea shoots, pac choi, spinach, lettuce mix, and kale!

Now we are entering that time of the season when farmers do not have enough hours in the day to get everything done that the farm requires (even though these are some of the longest days of the year).
