A "Week Off" from the Farm

by Erin and Steve on 05/28/22

This week we will not have any share distributions. The Spring Share ended last week, and the Summer Share does not start until the week of June 7th and 9th (Tuesday or Thursday depending on your chosen pick up day).
Emails went out to everyone. A small group of members received an email with both pick up days. We were aware of the issue the moment the sent button was clicked and you should've received a correction email.
The Fruit Share does not start until around the 4th of July.
We're hoping to get a bunch of work done on the farm this week before we start the weekly parade ;) We are still planting summer crops, and this coming week marks the winter squash seeding and the brussels sprouts were seeded last week. These are crops we are going to be harvesting in September and October! If anything as a farmer, it is important to have a plan and be strategic about daily decision making in order to ensure we have something to harvest come the end of the season.
We are excited for the 12th Summer CSA Season to start and here's hoping Mother Nature is wishing us well, too! See you all in a couple weeks. Have a wonderful Memorial Day holiday.
